Web Design Book - Setting up your own web design company

Dan, over at the Boagworld Forum, recently asked an interesting question about setting up a web design company.

It is one of my long term ambitions to run my own web design comapny, but I’m not sure exactly what running as business really entails. I know I will have an accountant to handle taxes and things for me, and someone to handle contracts and copyrighting etc., on top of the designers and developers. Do you have any information I could read up on? I may be a bit early but I’m sure it will be useful to know regardless.

I get a lot of emails from people (usually young men) asking me how they can become web designers.

The first step, in my opinion, is to decide what you mean when you say you want to be a “web designer”.
