How many links is too many?
According to the experts, 7 is the maximum number of choices you should give somebody on a website at any one time.
That means no more than 7 links in navigation
Here’s a genuine example of how NOT to do it.
One mistake a lot of website owners seem to make is to put unnecessary obstacles in the way of potential customers.
The dominos.co.uk website makes just this kind of, fairly basic, mistake.
The site actually looks quite nice. It’s clean, easy to navigate and uses whitespace well.
However, when I went on the site to look for prices, I was confronted by this screen, asking me for my postcode (or my username and password) before I could see the rest of the site:
